CONTESTENTS.
I enjoy most music shows regardless of what they are because I support Talent and in particular I like to watch Talent shows inclusive of the X Factor and The Voice. Right now there was a huge shock exit for Ella who left the competition this evening. There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding the show whereby Rylan Clark who is not thought to have 'the best of voices' has managed to stay in the competition. Christopher Maloney has received a great deal of 'bashing' for his choice of old fashioned songs.
Forums are alive with opinions both scathing and supportive of the contestants left.
I wanted to give a short synopsis of what Tarot has advised..
Rylan Clarke actually does have a 'nice sound' but his songs would need to be tailored to fit within his range and he is not particularly technical but he really can get away with holding a song if it is the right one. He has some nice tones that are not coming out in the songs that are picked for him. He is a fan of club and dance music and for that reason he is more likely to sing something up tempo and his voice suffers as a result. However, Rylan does have the x factor. He is an excellent character and people person and its doubtful that once anyone met him they could go away and show dislike. This is a very nice lad who despite the taunts of 'not being a great singer' is actually going to do fine for himself.
Rylan has the 10 in the Major Arcana - The Wheel of Fortune. Lucky that is what he is! and that also represents his journey on the X - Factor. It seems that his personality and his lively drive of being slightly giddy but adventurous really is working for him. This is also a great Karma card and it does promise success and good luck in his endeavours. Remember that 10 breaks down to one and shows us the sidekick Magician who can make 'people all disappear'. That means his colourful character can see off competitors and opponents.
I see Rylan on Tv more in the future, he would be great on a talk show as a guest because he is extremely infectious and capable of talking to queens and princes as well as paupers and the unemployed - AND be liked.
People should remember that the gay scene is HUGE and a big personality who is colourful and slightly cheeky and subliminal will be a great entertainer in that sphere. Not only that but I see him perfect for TOWIE . Rylan is just someone you WANT to have a chat with so I see he will do very well out of the X Factor and it would be wise to remember that this is a show that is looking for someone WITH X Factor qualities. That means a person who can capture attention and has that 'certain something' that makes them popular so it would not be sensible to feel that Rylan is not worthy because I recall my thoughts of Jedward and knew instantly they were going to be very famous. So is Rylan. If you dont like him you had better turn off your TV in the future.
He is going places. My advice to Rylan is - life is what you make it, think lucky and you will be lucky. He is on a journey - he expects less then what he is going to receive. A bit of a drama queen but very funny and entertaining. I like him. All the best stars have a good drop of drama in their blood after all. My only ONE blip is that Rylan could decide that he has been so lucky in his journey that he decides to leave the competition as he may decide his popularity will affect the others who he considers to be 'right up there' vocally. This is something Rylan would do because he is quite a decent guy and would never take anything away from anyone if he felt that he was. Thats a pity but does show his personality. He wont lose his popularity regardless if he chose to do this.
A lot of people sympathise with Christopher Maloney who began the X Factor journey with an unforgettable audition where he was so nervous he could not hold his microphone without uncontrollable shaking. For Christopher I have the Page of Swords reversed and it reminds me of one of those 'skull duggery' cards. Where Christopher is concerned (and I do feel I am a worthy commentator when it comes down to musical talent due to my long association with it) Christopher does have a powerful voice. Having said that Christopher is sounding very pigeon fashioned with the way he is performing his songs and that makes his vocal sound a bit too strong in places and for me, a little stilted. He needs to 'flow' a little easier and learn to control his volume in order to produce the sympathetic nuances in his songs. Unfortunately it is mostly full on and he needs to curb that to get into the heart of the lyric so that he is not singing 'at you' but is instead drawing you in. Hopefully he will come to see this and work on that.
Christopher's card drops him right in the middle of controversy. It shows rivals and there is actually an extreme amount of jealousy surrounding this card but also even though he was the wild card and returned to the show many have resented him in favour of other better technical singers or those with a more modern feel.
This card shows a prodigality and a difficulty in 'learning'. This is something that I have been feeling deep inside. It is not that Christopher cannot sing, but he still needs to use his voice and learn how to use it to soften out what I feel are forced notes. If you are a vocalist you know full well what I mean. Chris still comes across as the good old guy down the pub who has a lot of family and friends to lift him up - he does have a butlins flavour about him, but I see him in West end Musicals.
I do not see him as a pop star at all and I do not think that his career will be 'hip in the charts'. I do think he will make albums but I want to see him in the West End because I believe that is where his Talent will be most appreciated. The pop charts would crucify him, they dont even put Cliff Richard on their playlist any longer and really thats quite disgusting considering Cliff has been in the business for donkeys years with a huge repotoir of hits behind him. Poor Cliff was dropped quite some time ago.
But Cliff is 'smooth' no matter how much hip wiggling he did, it just did not cut it as a real cred street guy type singer. Chris doesn't either. I seriously see him of the same ilk as Cliff Richard. Chris has longevity because his singing approach is safe and far from dangerous. Middle of the road, good ballads and musicals would be brilliant for him. He is going to grow in confidence as time goes by and will eventually stop feeling he has to fight for approval once he finds a good niche after this show is over. The one problem that Chris lacks is the 'believability' factor. Chris does not come across a believable star and lacks that star quality in todays music. He appears a little gauche in that department and I do not see that can change. It would be like putting a white elephant in a telephone box expecting Chris to top charts in a genuine way such as Rhianna or other mainstream artists. He really is still going to seem like the guy who is still trying to 'get there'. The public never let go of something like that once they spot it.
However, Chris wants to get better and as he says - I always do my best - and he is telling the truth because though he wanted to be someone knowing his voice was reasonable good he never quite believed it and that is why he came across with such distinct nerves. I would bet that Chris 'wills' his way through the voting every week.
So back to the Page of Swords - this is not a great winning card but this man is made of steel so you better look out. He is not going to lay down or lose any of his 'will' just because people are throwing stones. The more stones you throw at Chris the more he is going to stand like a rock.
It has been said that Chris has the public vote - but I rather feel there are quite a few people with a bit of cash who are bumping this up and in my view it is because they want Gary Barlow to be the winning judge. Liverpool is an amazing city who will stick by there own so they will be supporting Chris vehemently as they have very strong feelings about roots, togetherness and community, the only other place I can think of that comes across to me in the same way is Wales. So Chris has a lot of backing, but I still feel that backing and the votes is a tad over the top for Chris's true technical ability.
Chris may be getting the votes but he also has to remember that when you are put at the top you also have to cope with staying there and that is a lot of pressure. Personality wise I think Chris would find that exceedingly hard to do looking further on and could be less friendly in the future if pressure grows too much and his privacy is invaded overmuch.
He might not stand out at 12 midnight signing autographs.
Whatever you throw at Chris he will get up again. I think he has a career outside of the pop industry because young people do not favour him. They are never going to favour him because he is not hip and to them he is square. I wish him luck though but if he won X Factor even though it would be a great victory for him the public are not going to support it. I therefore think that Chris should finnish before the final three but if he gets into the final three and goes on to win the show I think it would be more detrimental to him winning as the young buy more music and will revile his victory. Its so sad really how 'who you fancy' or 'who is hip or cred' really matters to young people today, BUT IT DOES. Therefore - look forward to seeing Chris in a West End Career because that is where he is heading.
I wish him sincere luck - hes an ordinary guy who still comes across as that ordinary guy but he does not sizzle enough to pick up the X Factor crown. If he does pick up the crown there might be a massive backlash and accusations of fixing and fakery. I wish it wasnt like that but the Page of Swords messages dont sit well next to a Queen of Swords reversed. In that position she is y and she never tells the truth. So people will question things if he wins and a victory would be bitter sweet.
Jahmene Douglas reminds me of lotus blossom. Sweet with an ancient historical background that permeates and wafts to make you swoon with the delight of the essence it spreads in a room.
Jahmenes card is the Temperence card reversed. All that glitters sadly is not gold but the gold is there.
Jahmene comes from the world of beautiful human beings where people are civil and have dignity and a faith that doing good works brings people together with the heart. He is a truly awesome vocalist and quite honestly I laugh at the comments that 'he sometimes sings out of tune'. Honestly! you really dont know ANYTHING about singing do you? Jahmene sings in and around the notes of a song and slips in and out the music scales because he is a natural freelance singer and they are the very best kind. They dont sing to order, they FEEL the song in the moment and that is how they produce their sounds. This also means that no amount of rehearsal will predict how the feel of the song will come out at the time of the performance because he can only react to his emotions at the time of producing the notes. That is a rare ability and technically Jahmene is the best vocalist in the competition for true vocal skill and drop of a hat note production - he is an extremely clever vocalist who can take a song and pull it to very sharp corners and drop it right back into place again. His voice takes you on a journey. He is an international star. He will be mixing with the very elite and cream of show business talent who will accept him shoulder to shoulder for ability.
Jahmene does have a good chance of winning this competition but ONLY if he stays in control of himself AND stays flexible this is a must! . He also has a lot of very pure views that will not ultimately stand him in good stead with younger people,(mores the pity) though he is the most excellent advocate of how to be liked despite being 'the good boy'. He may inspire a lot of the youth, but they do not have the strength and determination to keep up with the beliefs of Jahmene who truly is a boy that dropped out of the bible.
Trust me this is an angel who like Jesus gives the parables of life just by being who he is. I just think that he wont make it as a pop star but he will be hugely successful in America he is a massive influence with his Gospel and R & B and he is never going to look back. He does not need the British Charts at all and he does not need to win either - he is divinely guided already. When he stands and sings you are all receiving a very special moment - this is pure grace being shown to you. You are meant to 'feel' it from Jahmene he is one of God's instruments. Ive seen this kind of thing before - so you better believe it.
Jahmene may split the votes from the public because there is something 'wrong' with being 'in love' or 'fancying' a boy with a halo on his head. He is pure and eventually this will be a problem to adoring fans who realise that there is a glass case around him and his future is so completely ordained. He is a golden star. Think Michael Jackson and how he was loved then think about how inaccessible he became.
James Arthur is without doubt the one who SHOULD win the X Factor because of what he represents in todays music and with todays youth as it stands. He has the Four of Wands, the celebration card followed by the Ticker tape. He has to work very hard and his hard work is what is going to make him a winner in his career. He is going to be huge with other true singer and songwriters because he is credible, humble, a very straight down to the earth guy who would fit in the local pub or a musicians hangout take out his guitar and produce the best stonking original tunes that you could wish to hear. He is 'TODAY'.
Celebrities in the business will be going to him for songs and he will collaborate with many of them. He is hip and he is going to make a great deal of money. He may not always be the one to be on stage either as eventually he will be producing other peoples songs and I see him writing great hits for other singers.
James needs the votes and those votes can come in for him so nobody should be dismissing him at any stage. He will be a finalist and he has a 9 our of 10 chance of winning. The 1 per cent against it would be that winning the X Factor is not a great career move for anyone who writes and performs the way he does. It is actually considered a 'naff' badge to wear.
If James does not win, dont worry someone has a contract lined up right now for him, in fact he might even be able to choose from three really great offers. I have absolutely no worries about James - this card has success in his music career stamped all over it. In fact he is on his journey to being someone who may even yet turn todays music around. Hes going to be inspiring people to think about music in a more passionate way - not many people are going to be putting on bubblegum music when they can sit and listen to true vocal colour and passion that James will supply.
Union J are a great little band - the girls just love them because after all its little girls who are the biggest record buyers in the world. Think thats not true? think again. However, Jaymie has the chance in the future to go solo - he reminded me visually of Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop boys from years ago and he sounds like Boy George when he speaks and I think he is a dynamic young guy. He is GOOD and I mean good but even with a great voice like that, he is going to have to write his own songs and Im not sure how that is going to go. He was meant to get this far and he has far to go. The entire band will do well together and make a lot of money but Jaymie has a diamond lining that will really make this band something they would otherwise never be. He is the lynchpin, take that away and the whole thing collapses.
Union J have the Lovers reversed. That means they will get a lot of followers and fans, they will have hundreds of fans because the Lovers reversed is the stalker card. lol but those fans have to vote a lot if they are going to win. The physical strength of the next few cards starts to peter out and they could get 'strangled by the competition' and luck might run out for them when it comes to winning. I think there is a lot of indecision over this band when it comes to the voting and for some reason there is something about the votes that might come up. Not sure yet whether its related to them or they say something. We shall have to see.
This is Tarot's synopsis of these last few contestants but I am feeling that the person that is strongest with Tarots cards is James Arthur.
My opinion outside of what Tarot has to say is that Jahmene is the one that I would pick ultimately because his music is based on how a note touches his heart and the way he wants to present his message. His message is extremely profound but he is a 'Giant' and likely was never aware of it. Giants do not need to win competitions they only need to let the world know they are there. He has done that and he will be touching the clouds in the future.
If he does not win, it is no biggie and if he does he will still be bigger in America and other places then he is in the UK because basically the British are barbarians and like Henry the Eighth they like to smash their wine glass in the fireplace and throw the meat bones over their shoulders. They are just too BRITISH to change and become in awe of the real beauty of Greensleeves when there is a minstrel outside who is tuning up on a new kind of instrument. Thats the way I see it.
Good luck to Everyone.
If anyone wonders about Ella, Ella went out because we have got Adele and you cant have two Adeles. She will do well for herself but Adele beat her to it.
So on that note, I wish them all the best of British - The X Factor is a great platform for them all and they will all come away with something. Before I go, the singer Jade who went out recently from the competition? she is a real pop star - honestly didn't anyone see that? fools!!
Empathy.

If anyone wonders about Ella, Ella went out because we have got Adele and you cant have two Adeles. She will do well for herself but Adele beat her to it.
So on that note, I wish them all the best of British - The X Factor is a great platform for them all and they will all come away with something. Before I go, the singer Jade who went out recently from the competition? she is a real pop star - honestly didn't anyone see that? fools!!
Empathy.
